SCREW FLIGHTS · SECTIONAL FLIGHTING · MADE IN GERMANY
Screw conveyor flights. Pressed to fit.
Screw conveyor flights, auger flights, sectional flighting, screw blades — different words for the same part: the helical blade that moves the material along the shaft. We press it as a sectional flight with constant blade thickness, from Ø 40 to 3000 mm, in roughly 25 steel grades.
Straight talk: we do not build complete screw conveyors — we make the part that does the work: the flight. Over 3 million pressed flights since 1980, every single one checked against a profile gauge. Your fabricator welds them on — a fit so close there is nothing left to correct.
What we press
- Outside diameter 40–3000 mm, inside diameter from 20 mm, plate 2–60 mm.
- Any geometry: cylindrical, conical, variable pitch, ribbon flights, paddle and partial segments, toothed, perforated, cranked.
- Left hand and right hand, single start or multi-start.
- Partial segments to a defined opening angle instead of full turns, where your design calls for it.
Sectional flights, not rolled helicoid
Cold-rolled helicoid flighting is drawn from strip stock, so the blade inevitably thins towards the outer edge — exactly where the wear happens. A pressed sectional flight keeps its full thickness across the whole cross-section, holds tolerances to DIN 15261, and can be made in practically any material and size. For abrasive or heavily loaded duty, that difference decides the service life.
Precision you can measure
Every flight is measured against a profile gauge before it leaves the works — a hundred per cent check, not a sample. Pitch and seating are correct before the segment reaches you. On the shop floor that means no straightening, no measuring, no rework.
„No rework. No aligning. No measuring. Simply excellent." Harry Pfeiffer · HWM Holzwärme Müllheim GmbH
Frequently asked
Do you supply complete screw conveyors?
No. We manufacture the flights — pressed sectional flights in any geometry and steel grade. Complete conveyors are built by your fabricator, who welds our flights onto the shaft.
What is the largest flight you can press?
Outside diameter up to 3000 mm and plate thickness up to 60 mm, as a one-off made to your drawing.
Which steel grades do you work with?
Around 25 grades in regular production: mild steel, stainless, duplex, heat-resistant grades, Hardox, Creusabro and manganese steel (X120Mn12). If your grade is not on the list, ask.
How fast is a quote?
Within 24 hours of your enquiry. Standard lead time is 5 to 10 working days; express of 24 to 48 hours is possible on request.
