EARTH AUGERS · DRILLING · WEAR PLATE
Auger flights. Built for abrasion.
Earth augers, drilling augers, foundation and pile augers all live in the same world: abrasion, impact and stone. The flight takes it first. We press auger flights in wear plate, up to Ø 3000 mm and 60 mm thick.
Straight talk: we do not build complete screw conveyors — we make the part that does the work: the flight. Over 3 million pressed flights since 1980, every single one checked against a profile gauge. Your fabricator welds them on — a fit so close there is nothing left to correct.
Material decides the service life
- Hardox 400 / 450 — the default for abrasive, stony ground. Hard through the section, weldable.
- Creusabro — work-hardens in service, forgiving of impact.
- Manganese steel X120Mn12 (1.3401) — where impact dominates: it hardens under the blow.
- Mild steel — for soft soil, or where the flight is a consumable to be changed often.
Geometry we press
Cylindrical and conical flights, variable and progressive pitch, single and multi-start, left and right hand, partial segments over a defined opening angle, toothed and cranked blades. Constant blade thickness throughout — the wear reserve stays where the wear is.
Frequently asked
Which material for rocky ground?
Hardox 400 or 450 is the usual answer for abrasive, stony soil. For impact-dominated duty, manganese steel (X120Mn12) work-hardens under load and often outlives harder plate.
Can you press flights for a conical auger?
Yes. Conical flights and variable pitch are standard work for us, up to Ø 3000 mm.
Do you supply the complete auger?
No — we press the flights. The tube, the pilot and the teeth come from your fabricator.
